Why PICALLW publishes free technical tools
A small calculator can often save more time than a long article. These tools are designed to answer one concrete engineering question during commissioning, troubleshooting or research: whether a BACnet Device ID is valid, how a 32-bit Modbus value is assembled from two registers, whether an RTU frame has the correct CRC, how a KNX Group Address maps to its raw value or whether a GDV image is technically clean enough for further analysis.
The tools are intentionally small and transparent. They do not try to replace a standard, vendor documentation, an ETS project or a professional commissioning procedure. Where the answer depends on a device implementation, that limitation is stated and a link to a broader guide is provided.
